The watercolor shows a pine tree in the style of an eye test. It is based on a photo I took in the summer of 2019 in Brittany, France. As with all my eye test images, it consists of numerous colored dots. Up close, these are still clearly visible, making the subject itself difficult to see. The further away you get as an observer, the more the dots mix in the eye. This slowly creates a more realistic color impression. This art form thematizes the way we humans perceive images, and especially art.
