This pencil drawing shows a snowy forest. It is entitled "The lonely raven" - something poetic, normally I do not give such titles. But the picture was missing something at the end. An animal that can enjoy this quiet and beautiful, romantic landscape. Therefore, I still have a raven added.

After the animal pictures I now plan a small series with landscape drawings. And what is closer than to draw some snowy winter landscapes. The basic idea was that one has quite little to do, because the snow is white in itself. But, well, then you should not exactly draw a forest. Because the many trees must be all dark.

In this motif, I was particularly attracted by the athmospheric blur in the background. Through multiple emphasizing, blurring, erasing, re-blurring udn so on I succeeded quite well.
