The Brush Pen drawing shows a massive tree trunk in the Lobetal near Bernau in Brandenburg. The photo template was created during a spring walk with my daughter. In the middle ground you can see a spacious meadow, in the background joins a dense forest. The sun-drenched depth of the scenery becomes more noticeable - if you stand a few steps away from the picture. The closer you get, the clearer it becomes that the black and white drawing is composed only of quick strokes. Like all the paintings in this series "Brandenburg Landscapes", the focus here is on the theme of "scaling" or proximity and distance of the viewer. The range runs from abstract-expressive to photorealistic.
